Course Information

Safeguarding children is about protecting children and keeping them safe from harm. It’s about promoting their health and welfare and helping them to grow up in a safe and supportive environment.

This programme covers the difficult subject of child abuse; the different types of abuse, how to recognise the signs and how to correctly and discreetly report concerns. It also looks at the importance of speaking up and acting quickly.

The course addresses the 4 ‘R’s of child protection – Recognise, Respond, Report and Record to help to explain the safeguarding process – and is particularly suited to those working in the Education, Care and Leisure sectors.
